Entrepalooza History

In 2005, the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Alumni Association identified an unfulfilled need in the Western New York market - access to a full day business festival of learning, networking and sharing. The CEL program, under the auspices of the University at Buffalo's School of Management since 1988, provides the hands-on learning and entrepreneurial perspective so needed by local business owners and senior C-level management. The graduates of the CEL program, having formed an Alumni Association in 1996, made a commitment to enhance this program with internationally renowned speakers, authors, and specialists able to add value to this critical business group. So began Entrepalooza, Western New York's Regional Business Festival. By 2006, the Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives Board of Directors also recognized the value this unique event provided its senior level management members. Combining the marketing efforts of both the CELAA and BNSME proved to be a highly successful collaboration for both organizations.

As the event grew, the regional chamber of commerce known as The Buffalo Niagara Partnership also became Event Hosts expanding the outreach to an even larger target market to include an even larger WNY business base, from locally owned enterprises through corporate offices of global organizations.

Today, we are welcoming our fourth Event Host organization, Leadership Buffalo, a series of programs dedicated to uniting and developing existing and emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

All of the Event Hosts are dedicated to helping business in WNY grow stronger, smarter, and better.
